I wanted internet for my apartment. Is 50 Mbit fast and sufficient with a 16,000 line?

Since I'm moving into a new apartment soon and would like to have an Internet connection for it, I wanted to ask you whether a 16,000 line from Vodafone would be sufficient for me alone (1 person) in the apartment? You can probably choose different Mbit here. I wanted to take 50 Mbit. Would it be enough just for me?

Personally, I find a 16,000 line way too weak. So you need 20-30 minutes even for small downloads in the 1 gigabyte range. If it's not that important to you to have very fast downloads, 50,000 is enough. Otherwise I would recommend 100,000. For this I pay 45 euro a month with a router. You have to first check whether 50 or 100 are available in your place of residence. That depends on the cables that are laid.

You can of course get 16,000 first and if you are not satisfied you can improve to 50,000. It doesn't work the other way around, no. When upgrading the line, you always have no internet the day before implementation, as it has to be activated first.

"16,000 line" means: 16,000 kbit / s, i.e. 16 Mbit / s. How should 50 Mbit / s be achieved over a line with a maximum data rate of 16 Mbit / s?

16 Mbit / s should not be enough for TV reception. Here you can't get by below 25 Mbit / s, better probably 50 Mbit / s to have reserve.
