So, I bought a headset with a microphone for my PC, and the headset also works in terms of output, but when I want to talk to someone via Discord, for example, there was no sound from me. However, both work on the laptop. The thing is, there are two jack plugs on my PC, one for the microphone and one for the headset sound, but my headset only has one jack plug. Can someone help me how I can get both components (input and output) out of one connector?
You need an adapter for this, just look for a jack plug adapter on the Internet.
Buy a new microphone.
Perhaps this is due to your system settings, it is best to check your PC to see whether the headset microphone is activated at all or whether it is not selected.
Otherwise try to talk about Google / Cortana maybe it works there, then it's up to Discord.
If you see the plug on top and compare the one with your headset plug, you will see the difference. The combination socket is on the laptop and can do both.

With a bit of searching, it's sure to be even cheaper. I have one from Hama
Nonsense
That doesn't help if you don't have an adapter
