Reset Vaio laptop?

I got a Sony Vaio laptop yesterday and have been trying to reset it for hours. Accordingly, I inquired on the Internet and copied everything that was there, but nothing worked.

I'm not exactly familiar with technology etc. The laptop has Windows XP.

The laptop also crashes, there's a short blue screen with a lot of white text, but I can't read anything, because then it is over.

I would be grateful for any help 😅

Normally reset in the settings under eg System. Then it is in the same condition as when buying new.
