My Wi-Fi has been performing very poorly since I moved.
In my opinion, the router is in good shape (no direct obstacles).
When I'm connected to the laptop in the office (distance to the router approx. 5 - 7 meters), the internet suddenly goes out…
I'm continuously connected to the router; the connection simply says "No Internet, secured".
In order to be back on the network, I have to disconnect and re-establish the connection. Then it works again for a certain time (sometimes a few hours, sometimes 2 minutes).
I've already tried the following:
Router changed
Reset the router
Wi-Fi 6 disabled
Internet socket replaced
Connection (bridge tab) to another socket capped to prevent reflections
Didn't bring anything.
Can anyone help?
Driver update of the WLAN module
THAT is the number ONE main cause for something like that
Try it with a Wi-Fi stick and use 2.4 and 5 GHz (use different ssids) helped me!
A very banal question: does a cable wobble or something?
How can I do the update? On the PC itself?
Everything sits
Runs on 2.4 and 5 GHz
The PC also changes independently, but nothing improves.
Get another amplifier from the provider
Yes, of course, there's the WLAN module built in or not?
Find out which card or chip is installed and then look for the reference drivers. Do not fetch them from the MS update server, because they cause problems, I suspect that with you
It was just a spontaneous idea because sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I can't think of anything relevant to it right now. The problem is probably pretty annoying, but maybe someone else can give you a tip. TOI Toi Toi!
I'm a bit of a pipe…
Driver is Intel.
In the device manager I have "Intel (R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 # 2"
How do I find the reference driver there?
Intel is very simple:
Under
https://www.intel.de/content/www/de/de/support/detect.html
Download the "Driver and Support Assistant" and then follow the instructions
Erledit. The tool does not find any updates
Stupid.
Download the appropriate driver for your Windows https://downloadcenter.intel.com/de/download/28621/Intel-PROSet-Wireless-Software-und-Treiber-f-r-Intel-Wireless-7260-Reihe
Then. Disconnect the PC from the Internet - Uninstall the WLAN devices in the device manager (it seems to have two inst., For whatever reason) - Restart - then install the driver manually
