Word license transfer?

The following…

I bought the Office 2019 license at the beginning of the year. Now I have a new laptop, but this time a Chromebook. That means I downloaded Word for free in the App Store and logged in with my email. On my laptop, this email still says that the Office license is valid. An office payment is required on the Chromebook after logging in… How to solve?

I would now advise you to contact Office / Microsoft support.

I would only do it if there really is no other way, but thanks.

Uninstall Word and download it from the microsoft website (not from the store), then you can log in with your email and the license should be taken over:-)

Your Office 2019 license is not valid for your Chromebook or the installed Office version.

The normal Microsft Office (2019) package is only available for Windows or MacOS. However, your Chromebook uses ChromeOS.

You have probably installed the Android app from the Play Store on your Chromebook.

For the Android app you need a Microsoft 365 subscription (formerly Oficce 365) so that you can edit documents. You can also watch without a subscription. For smartphones / tablets with 10.1 inches or less, you can edit documents without a subscription.
