On my laptop, the sound on one side of my headphones suddenly stopped working, but the headphones are fully functional and not broken.
Even if I use other headphones, the sound is not always on one side. And when I connect these headphones to another device (mobile phone) I hear bilateral sound, so it is as I said not s.den hardware.
The built-in speakers still play sound on both sides, so it could not be a broken sound card.
I find in the volume control not the setting where I can see if a page is muted. (Windows 7)
I also put in the gun, in case of pollution, but it did not bring anything.
Then the jack is the problem.
Although it can also be due to the balance.
Vlt is broken
Me too, but where is the balance? I can't find the setting.
Left-click on the "Volume" icon (bottom right in the taskbar)
Left-click on "open mixer"
Left-click on the "Speaker" icon => Properties
Select the "Sound" tab
And you're there.
If you plug your headphones into the PC / laptop would have to open a window where you can choose what is plugged in and if you have selected that would have to be a window to see if the issue is not only on one side
Fits, I found it under Sound - Properties - Level - Balance. Thank you anyway. Sound is on the right side, but about 80% weaker than left, so it is not audible at normal volume. Whether the socket is broken or inside caused by interference interference, I would have to clarify.
Of course it's also possible via the control panel…
Maybe you can clean the socket from the inside with a little contact spray.
If there's mechanical damage, you can only open the notebook and swap the socket.
But then somebody should take over that, who also trusts and can handle a soldering iron.
