I have an average of 15-20ms on the PC with LAN but as soon as my laptop is connected to the internet and uses the internet (nothing complex) then the ping goes to 300ms and more.
Then I disconnect the internet from the laptop and everything is fine.
Why is that?
It is conceivable that your laptop is downloading data, for example an update, in the background, thereby slowing down the network. You can check this with the help of the Task Manager. Right-click in the system tray and select Task Manager. Click on Processes. In the Network column you can see how heavily the individual processes are loading your system. With a click in the column header you can sort the table according to the respective criterion in ascending or descending order. Right click on the process that interests you. Select Search online and start the search engine Bing with the respective term.
