Broken laptop display, warranty?

I have a notebook from CSL that was built extra thin. Now the left hinge for opening the laptop has broken away from the display. Now I can no longer open the notebook properly. Do you know if something like this is guaranteed? That shouldn't normally happen

Yes, that's included in the guarantee as long as you don't screw it around.

This is a guarantee case if it is a product defect, but the guarantee is a voluntary service by the manufacturer.

Try the warranty, if the hinge is faulty or too weakly designed then it is a material defect that already existed at the time of purchase, then the 24 month statutory warranty applies.

Search times on Google if several buyers have already had the same problem.

It shouldn't make a difference whether it's extra thin or not.

But you should be aware that a guarantee is always something voluntary from the dealer or manufacturer (depending on who gives the guarantee). The guarantee can be limited. At CSL it says:

Defects caused by wear and tear, mechanical damage and damage caused by improper use of the computer are excluded from guarantee claims.

Therefore, the broken hinge may not be covered by the warranty.

It can be something else when it comes to warranty. This is regulated by law (and must always be provided by the retailer) and states that your notebook must be free of defects upon delivery. The warranty can't be restricted and you have 24 months to report a defect. Within the first six months, the dealer may have to prove that an item was free of defects at the time of delivery, after which the dealer may request that you provide this proof. If, however, many buyers have such a defect, then it could be a defect in the construction and you have a good chance of complaining about this defect even after 6 months.

Therefore, it is not possible to make a general statement as to whether the defect is under guarantee or warranty.

I would also ask CSL in a friendly way.
