I have a laptop with an i5 (8th generation, 8gb) and a GTX 1050 (max q, 2gb) and am looking for a new monitor with 1440p. Now I'm not sure if my laptop can play games with this resolution smoothly (wanted value 60-75fps), because I've always used an FHD monitor.
What do you say about it and would you recommend me to stay with FHD in case my laptop doesn't get it anyway?
Stay with FHD. I guarantee that your graphics card won't do it.
That will certainly not work…
2gb videoram are not enough for 1440p…
Probably not switch to 1440p, since the graphics card will probably not be able to do 1440p with up to 75fps, at least the more recent graphics cards will not be able to do the 1050 either.
No. He won't do that.
Thank you. You have experience with overclocking, could you help me there?
In a notebook with a 1050 you will not get much performance.
