Word document can't be edited (OneDrive)?

Hi, I created a Word file on my laptop and saved it in OneDrive. Now I would like to open this file on my iPad via OneDrive and insert a picture there, but I can only open the file, not edit it… I can't find the error, I actually have all the permissions. If I make a copy I can edit everything as normal, but that doesn't do any good because I want to continue writing on my laptop after I've inserted the picture.

Perhaps the image from the Ipad is a different file format that is not compatible with the PC.
You may have to convert.
