I was working on a Word document on my laptop. In order to be able to edit the document on the go, I also installed Words on my cell phone and always transferred the document from cell phone to laptop via Bluetooth. This has always worked flawlessly so far. But now I suddenly have to log into Words on my cell phone because the document is write-protected. But I don't remember having changed anything.
So why is the document suddenly write-protected on the phone? With the laptop everything is still normal…
Since Microsoft is very keen on money, it of course also requires a purchase of Word or an account to use Word for full functions. Unfortunately that's the way it is. Unfortunately, I can't give you a solution, other than to create an account (or log in with an existing account).
I had the same problem once, but I've since switched to LibreOffice because it's at least as good as Word and it's free too.
