I'll need my headphones for a video conference right away, but it's not much use if I have no sound. I turned the volume up, plugged the cable out and back in, set the correct audio input, but there's not a single sound. I use a Y - cable so that I can use the microphone through my headphones. Does anyone have any idea what could be due to it? I've tried Windows sound troubleshooter too… Nothing.
Did you set the output correctly?
Do you use something like BigBlueButton or Zoom?
A Y - cable only works if the connection on the laptop matches the connector on the laptop. And that obviously won't fit. Even if the plug fits in, the contacts should not be correct.
Do you still get the sound through the speakers of your laptop even if the headphones are connected or do you get no sound at all when they are connected?
No no, that always works. Actually, my problem just cleared up when I restarted. But thanks
I don't have speakers, just headphones.
Yes, that's what I meant by the sound supply, but the problem has cleared up.
