Why is my charging LED flashing on the Samsung laptop r540?

Hi there.

I have had a problem with my laptop since yesterday, but I don't know how to help myself, so I'll get in touch here.

When I connect my charging device to the r540, the LED flashes to indicate charging. Usually it lights up green all the time while charging, but now it flashes green. It does not turn on either, although it was still on 2 days ago. Maybe someone knows what kind of problem that is.

That could be a loading error. Just check the instruction manual for what it says.

Have you taken out the battery (if it can be removed) and then switched on the notebook?

The laptop can't be switched on without a battery. It just went on briefly with the battery but then went off again but the battery symbol in the lock screen was an exclamation point but I couldn't press it because it went off directly

Unfortunately, there's nothing with a charging error, only when it lights up green that it is charging and when it lights up orange that it is empty.

I'll guess a defective battery…
