I bought the Samsung UE 590 and would like to use it on my laptop for a few days. This has no display port connection, only HDMI. I read on the Internet that you can set the monitor to 60 Hz if you use HDMI 2 on the monitor. No matter if I use hdmi 1 or 2, I only get 30hz. Why is that and how can I fix it?
Apparently your laptop is using 30k by default because the monitor is 4k.
You can change this by going to the Start menu with the Windows key, and then going to the Settings of Windows 10. There you go to System, to Display and there's Advanced Display Settings under Multiple Screens, then you go to Show adapter properties for screen, there you go on monitor and there's the point screen refresh rate.
There are only 30 Hz available. It works on my pc, but i need the monitor on my laptop for a few days.
