I want to transfer the data from my laptop to my PC with a USB-C. When I connect this to my laptop, nothing is displayed yet. Does anyone know what to adjust there?
It doesn't work that way - if at all with special USB link cables, and as far as I know, they are not available as USB-C. Take a stick or an external hard drive - or move the data over the network to the other PC, if available.
OK. The data that I want to transfer are over 80GB in size, so the USB stick would not work.
I've tried over the network, but it doesn't work
Right, it just doesn't work with 2 USB-C plugs.
This is because they both have a USB host controller. However, a USB device controller is required for the transfer.
Then you do something wrong, why does it fail?
Why shouldn't it go over the network? I sometimes move data over the network that is 10 times the size of your file ;-)
I mean 800GB *. When I tried this over the network, a file came up that I have to confirm with the administrator. When I did that, it closed
Yes, 800GB is not a problem. Actually, that should be possible without any problems.
However, if you don't have a 10GBit network, I would recommend dividing the file into smaller files via 7z and then sending it over the network. Before I expanded my network at home to 10GBit, I always did it that way, just in case the connection breaks.
Then use a LAN cable from PC to laptop, this is how it works.
