I installed Windows 10 To Go on the USB stick as Windows To Go. Afterwards an image was created and transferred to an SSD M2 in the housing. So a kind of USB stick with ssd. I took the home version and later a retail key for Windows 10Pro. The Home and later the Retail Pro version had also been activated, no problems. Later booted on another computer, had internet via LAN. Has the version been deactivated even though it is a retail version? The device ID has not changed. The retail key is ONLY for the stick with Windows To Go. I have another one for my laptop. As a private user, I'm not allowed to use a To Go version. The thought was when I drive or go to other people and use my Windows for other activities.
So allowed or NOT allowed for private individuals.
To your question "Windows To GO" the error code 0xc004c003 suggests that you only have a single PC license. To activate several PCs with your device ID, you need a developer pass from Microsoft or a gold reseller account from MIcrosoft both very special and unfortunately not cheap, so I'm sorry for your project, but it won't work on the part of Microsoft because you need a multi-license to authenticate yourself on the Microsoft server via your device ID and that's a single with me -PC license not included LG from BlackFox2000 nice idea with a Linux something goes without problems:-).
Thank you, it's a shame that it doesn't work that way.
Devil 2016, please:-) That would be too easy and Micosoft is not even thinking of their company philosophy as the Windows user has to pay for it this is the real world:-).
I'm ready to pay. I have a retail key that is intended for it.
