I see TV with the Horizon Box from Unitimedia (now Vodafone). Can I watch TV with my laptop via the HDMI connector? Horizon Go is of course also possible, but I would like to see the programs recorded with the box on my laptop. When I plug in the HDMI nothing happens. Can you put something there?
Is the HDMI socket on the laptop an input socket, or possibly an output socket?
Unless I know otherwise, the HDMI connection of your laptop is only an output, ergo it serves as an extension of your laptop to another monitor or TV.
The recording from the box is encoded anyway and even if you could transfer it to your laptop, you wouldn't see anything anyway 🙂
