I've always wanted to try an Apple product. Since I already have a cell phone and a laptop, I thought why not get a new tablet straight away.

It depends on how much you want to pay.
The iPad 2019 is very cheap and is enough for most things.
It depends on your budget and your expectations
I also think that the performance and capacity of the 'normal' iPads is sufficient for most, especially if you don't have any specific and specific requirements!
The chip is fast, the memory is large and for a few years now you can use the pen if you want!
My dad bought the last standard version WITHOUT a pen after a gift iPad 2 after years! Apart from a massive price cut, that's the most painful point… A few months later, you could have gotten a lot more technology for less money.
But that won't happen in the near future anymore, apart from the regular technical updates!
