Lan USB adapter 10Mbits - Wlan USB stick 35Mbits?

I bought a LAN USB adapter because the LAN interface on the PC is broken.

I receive via it on USB 2.0 (only after a few minutes) either only 10Mbits or sometimes no internet at all. I always receive 35Mbits via the Wi-Fi USB stick.

On a laptop I also receive 35MBits via cable or USB Lan adapter.

Driver for USB adapter not necessary to install.

It may not really work because the chipset driver is not installed. So far only have the LAN driver.

A LAN USB adapter that receives data?

Are you sure you are using the correct terms?

Lan means direct connection via cable from the PC to the router without Wi-Fi anywhere in between.

By the way, if something like a LAN interface on the PC breaks, the motherboard is often so defective that other components will follow soon.

I only used the USB Wi-Fi stick for 1 year because I didn't have a LAN cable yet. Now my father has misplaced one and I noticed that no lights on the mainboard are lit - the LAN interface is broken. Then I bought a USB Lan adapter, see link, which only receives 10Mbits and sometimes it doesn't work at all

Maybe your father used a very cheap or very old cable? There are cables that actually can't exceed 10 Mbit. But they can hardly be found anymore.

The cable was tested on the laptop, another device, and it came out a full 35mbits

Something is not right.

I've never seen anything like a 40 Mbit contract. So you should actually have more speed via cable (depending on the contract).

In order to increase the speed of 35 Mbit, it is best to call the support of your Internet provider and they should please disrupt the line. There should be 5-10 Mbit more. At least if you have (the widespread) 50 Mbit contract. If you have more, the speed can even double.

But to your real problem. Perhaps eliminating interference from the line will help a little, but try a different USB port. Or even better, try all the USB ports one by one. It is possible that your defective mobo already has problems with the USB ports.

Basically there's nothing more reliable than Internet via cable, but if that doesn't work for you at all, stay with Wi-Fi. But as I said, your motherboard will probably soon disintegrate into its individual parts.
