What to do if the USB stick is not recognized?

I bought a new USB stick yesterday. I plugged it into my laptop and it worked. After a while it no longer recognized USB. What to do?

Sometimes this is just a loose connection in the USB connection, so first test the next connection and always remove the hardware safely.

Yes, you only do that if you are attracted to it. If you have done that before, it could have crashed the usb. It's like pulling the plug instead of shutting down a pc.
