It all depends on what works better for you. If you want to make all your notes on a laptop or tablet, because you have all the lecture slides and texts on it, for example, then you can do that.

If you prefer to use handwritten notes for better remembering or for an overview, so that you can write notes on printed texts. With some practical work in the laboratory, you may not be able to use your laptop.
