2 routers in one apartment?

At home we have many devices that are connected to the Internet (laptop, cell phone, Fire Tv Stick, Hue Bridge, etc.).

However, our Internet is not the fastest. Soon a PC will be added, which I would prefer to operate via LAN. But the problem: the router is relatively far away to lay a LAN cable.

We get our Internet via the television connection (I can't think of the technical term). But there's also a connection in the room where the PC is supposed to be.

Therefore I wanted to ask if it is possible to connect a router to this connection and whether it could (if possible) relieve the 1st router a bit (if you connect some devices to the 2nd router).

In addition, I would like to know whether you have to "register" somehow with the Internet provider or whether the Internet will then cost more.

Colloquially: cable connection, "cable" or "broadband cable"

Technically feasible - but generally nonsense for the private sector.
Especially since the load on a router has nothing to do with the Internet speed - and that in turn has nothing to do with the speed of your LAN.

I therefore recommend that you first acquire the necessary basic knowledge: http://www.olivergast.de/blog/2011/04/16/netzwerkguide_1/
Then many questions will answer themselves. 😉

You could get a faster one with a better router. Internet is not that expensive these days. Have the cheapest at A1 for 22 euro per month

To have

-A Smart Tv

-2 gaming pcs

-1 laptop

-2 cell phones

So mine holds even with multiple downloads and am satisfied, find out which provider is best in your area

Two connections and thus routers are a waste of money

You have to have a bit of Wi-Fi, which you have to distribute intelligently by using both frequencies and also to improve the Wi-Fi with Mesh, but only really works if the Mesh slave is connected to the master via LAN cable

Theoretically yes, but you have to buy the price for it dearly, because that would then be your own connection, which again costs monthly.

what could be done with regard to the lan, if your people agree, would move the router into your room so that you can access the network with the pc via lan.

For the phone you would just have to come up with something, e.g. Cordless devices where the charging cradle is not on the base.
