My laptop takes about 20 minutes to boot up or start up.
He spends most of it on the 'Welcome' screen after I type in my PIN / password. Can you help me? I tried to search for viruses in vain. (I used the Windows virus scanner, somewhere in the system settings) I also checked the programs that are started when the laptop was started, turned off most of them, but hardly noticed any difference.
Did you install it on an HDD, if so how old is the disk?

Presumably old PC, lame hard disk, and over the years a lot has accumulated that is not necessary and makes everything even slower.
The HDD is the hard drive there's still an SSD and these are the faster ones I think your hard drive is too old and therefore extremely slow
So changing a hard drive would fix that? I was surprised that the day before it was still '' great '' (5 minutes maximum) but suddenly increased to 20 minutes +.

If you don't have a CD / DVD drive then if I'm not mistaken the HDD can only make a noise (and the ventilation)
