I assume that my SSD is defective. The error message was "No boot device found. None of the suggestions from the internet helped.

Have you removed and installed in an external housing. It was not recognized on any pc.

have now bought a new ssd. When this is installed, it only jumps to the fraction of a second and then goes out again.

completely without ssd comes the same error message as before also with defective ssd: "booting system on your hard drive".

So it is impossible for me to reinstall windows.

what can this be?

St

Of course you have to install Windows or another OS on it for it to work.

Boats from an installation medium

Ga

Vll is a cable or interface also broken.

If you look in the BIOS do you see the record then?

Co

I have a windows drive. But brings nothing, since the pc with hard drive in it does not concern

Co

No, because he does not go with built ssd

Ga

Then disconnect SSD and start a live Linux stick.

ke

Well, obviously he goes on and tells you that no operating system was found. You have to install this. The message that no OS exists, tells you the Bios / Boot Manager, so the PC is running. You must either select the stick as the boot medium by pressing F2, F11, F12 or DEL during the boot process.

SSDs can also be repaired by PowerCycle. https://dfarq.homeip.net/fix-dead-ssd/

Co

And what should I install the drive then if there's no hard drive in the pc. When the hard disk is installed, the computer will only turn on for a tenth of a second. Then the error message does not come

Co

And then never use it again with hard disk?

Co

Thanks, according to this diagram, the mainboard / cpu would be broken, since no beep comes, but the fans are running

ke

Now you can test what it is by swapping components one at a time. Old CPU on new board respectively new CPU on old board.

Co

Gets difficult on an ultrabook.

ke

Are contacts bent afterward?

Co

No, it does not look that way

Ga

Exactly.

Of course not

But this will make sure that all other devices work. Vll has your mainboard a hit.
