Defective notebook power supply - full 240V electric shock?

Is it at all possible to get an electric shock (NOT from the power supply unit itself, but from the notebook, i.e. The current that is passed through the defective power supply unit to the notebook) from the full socket (~ 240V)? That would be fatal, of course.

Notebook power supplies usually only have an input of 240V but the output is ~ 19V.

But my question is yes, is it even possible that the output (i.e. The power to the notebook) is full 240V due to a defect? Or is it simply impossible because of the wiring that more than 19V are conducted?

Because notebook cables are thicker when it goes into the socket, and the cable to the notebook is much thinner.

In the case of your serious defect, this is theoretically possible, yes - even if extremely unlikely.

The voltage from the socket is not deadly either. Have eaten 240V several times because I forgot to take out the fuses - and am still alive. Of course, it is not healthy and you should definitely go to the doctor afterwards and have your heart checked.
