Connect 2 screens to a laptop?

I bought a new laptop and originally thought that I could connect two screens to it without any problems, as it has an HDMI port and a USB-C port. Unfortunately, it has now turned out that the USB-C is from Gen. 1 and does not offer alternate mode.

What other options are there, or which of the options are good? I have already seen that there's a USB 3.0 to HDMI adapter, but I don't know whether they can also manage the Full HD 60fps that I need.

(HDMI or Displayport doesn't matter)

Do you still have any information or ideas?

Exchange laptop and buy someone else who offers what you are looking for.
