P.S. As of January 14, 2020, support for Windows 7 will be completely discontinued. You can still switch to Windows 10 for free. The Windows 7 product key is also accepted when activating Windows 10. And this is how you do it:
On the bottom of the laptop there's a sticker with the Windows 7 product key. Write this down. If not, simply display the Windows 7 product key with this tool: https://www.chip.de/...63752.html
Download the Media Creation Tool from the Microsoft website. You can use it to create a Windows 10 USB boot stick.
Simply boot the created stick and follow the instructions of the installer. It offers the possibility to completely erase the hard disk / SSD. You should do that. During the installation, the laptop is restarted several times.
After completing the installation and starting Windows 10 for the first time, the setup wizard offers the creation of a Microsoft account. You should do this if you don't already have one. Otherwise, log in with your existing Microsoft account.
Activate Windows 10 with the noted Windows 7 product key. The activation will then be saved permanently in your Microsoft account.
The last step is to go to the manufacturer's website for the laptop. Download and install the drivers there.
If you turn off all desktop effects in Windows 10, it will even run faster than Windows 7. If you have to reinstall Windows 10, just log in again with your Microsoft account. Windows 10 will then be reactivated automatically. You no longer have to enter the key.
