Small warning: I have almost no idea about such things, so I may forgive me for stupid questions.
So, I have recently 1&1 TV, but can only see it on a laptop. Before I had Zattoo, the app was pre-installed on my LG TV 55LN5758 that I bought in 2014. The 1&1 app is not included, adding new apps is generally not possible (or does anyone know what?).
But I guess I can't avoid buying a TV stick. So I wanted to ask you which stick is best for this or which one do you generally find better? The Amazon Fire TV stick or the Google Chromecast?
And then there are also differences, 1st or 2nd generation, size… Would be really grateful for a few tips.
Just by the way: I was given a LG Wi-Fi dongle AN-WF100 at the time. But so far I have not been able to find out what the stick is actually good for on my Smart TV. I put it in, but nothing happened.
So far, I have only been able to find testimonials from owners of the same TV that enthusiastically report on them. But not what it is for right now. I don't see the difference or the improvement. For old LGs that do not have a Smart TV, of course. But mine already has Wi-Fi.
The question is certainly too specific, but maybe someone here knows it by accident.
Well, I don't think it can be generalized, one swears by the Chrome Cast, the other by the Fire TV Stick.
I personally have the Chrome Stick, but find the Fire TV Stick more practical with a remote control and voice recognition.
I hope I could help you with your decision, stay healthy
I would take the Fire TV Stick right now you can't get it cheaper.
Best the 4K which is the most powerful.
There's no generation at all and if you can keep your hands off it is too weak.
With the Wi-Fi stick, I can only imagine that the Wi-Fi performance will be significantly improved, what else can it do?
If you can wait, buy the Amazon Stick, which is currently on sale for 20 euro but with a delivery time of over a month.
As far as I know, the Google Chromecast is just a streaming box. That means he can only do something that is currently on another device, e.g. Stream your cell phone, tablet or laptop on your TV. So you always have 2 devices running.
I don't know if there's a 1&1 TV app for the Fire Stick. I revered a 4k stick as meaningless as long as you don't have a 4k television or I reverberated 4k or more anyway for unnecessary money burning.
