Good laptop for university?

And I need a laptop for the university. I've been studying civil engineering and actually wanted to buy one for a long time, but I never got around to it. But since I will be working with a program this semester and now need one, I would like to know which laptop you would recommend (and may also write down the advantages and disadvantages of your experience). The best one is not difficult, has at least 2-3 connections for a USB stick and a mouse and is fast. I'm willing to pay up to 700 euro but if you have cheap laptops for me I would be more happy. I will only write the laptop for texts (and this program), maybe also for googling, presentations, etc. Since I'm more of a person who writes everything on paper, I won't use it for notes or anything like that.

MacBook Pro

700 euro, only texts and at least 3 USB ports.

Totally missed the target, hgw.

There are tons of cheap laptops for your needs that do a good job. Look at the channel AlexiBexi after (;

Here are a few:

'm too broke for a MacBook haha

Which ominous program do you still use?

A used business notebook for 3-400 euro is sufficient for pure office programs. If your "program" goes towards CAD, you should also look for a notebook that offers enough performance with a certified graphics solution.

De

There are also used.

Also better to use for presentations than Windows. My MacBook Pro has 4 ports.

First inform, then switch on the brain, then write, should help. "hgw" lol

Old boxes are used. The new ones have Thunderbolt, the old ones are weak - either or. A new 700 euro laptop is superior to an old 700 euro MacBook.

The program is called "Allplan" and here are the recommended features:

- Intel Core i5, i7 or i9 processor or compatible

-16 GB RAM

-Display resolution up to 2560 x 1600 (the operating system scaling can be used for higher resolutions from 4K (Windows 8.1 and higher); several monitors should be operated with the same resolution)

-OpenGL 4.2 compatible graphics card with 8 GB RAM, graphics card according to certification

otherwise I only use normal office programs

At least double the investment had to be made if the requirements were right…

Then you should get there…

You don't get a graphics card with 8GB VRAM for the price, that would only be possible with a desktop PC. I looked, the cheapest one that meets your requirements costs 1900 euro. You can also take a 600 euro desktop and a 400 euro laptop for on the go and are cheaper on the go. You will only find 8GB VRAM in gaming laptops or workstations, both at a high price.

That would be pretty much the minimum.

Hello everyone who answered. First of all thank you for your effort to research. These were the recommended facilities. I should have registered the minimum equipment

Intel processor or compatible

4 GB RAM

10 GB free hard disk space

OpenGL 4.2 compatible graphics card with 2 GB RAM, resolution 1280 x 1024
