I wanted to get a 4TB hard drive and ask if I can assign 2TB to the PS4 and the other 2TB to a Windows laptop? If so, I ask for no further explanation.
What is your thought behind it? Do you want the hard drive in 2 parts? I understand your background thought to some extent, but no. That doesn't work.
What also wouldn't work would be to buy an external hard drive and share it between your PS4 and PC.
In other words, you're forced to either prefer your PC or PS4, or buy 2 2TB hard drives (Or 2 4TB)
I planned to cut through the middle with the kitchen knife. Joking aside. I wanted to partition the hard drive into two "parts" using tools such as "MiniTool Partition Wizard". One partition would then be in NTFS format and the other in FAT32 or just in the format that the PS4 needs.
Yeah well I didn't even think of that. Wouldn't it be a huge effort to open the PS4 every time to move the hard drive?
I completely forgot to mention that it was an external hard drive, my mistake. But I have now found out that it is unfortunately not possible because the PS4 would use the entire hard drive for itself.
