Requirements for WQHD Monitor?

I currently have a slightly older laptop with a GeForce 920M with 2GB graphics card, an Intel i5-42000U and 8GB of memory. Now I would like to grow more like a 27 inch WQHD monitor, because the 15 inches are not enough for me. Does that work anyway? Is the laptop strong enough for that? And if so, how fluent would everything go, ect? Could not find anything accurate so far and hope for your help!
