Use HDD via USB input?

My laptop fell off yesterday when I stumbled and the HDD fell out because the plate was not screwed on (I know, my mistake) and broke the contacts where the hard drive is connected to the motherboard. Instead of replacing them, I thought you could put the HDD in these devices and then connect them to the pc via usb.

nothing was broken

I got the idea because there was something similar in the bios

my pc says: no bootable device found

I think my hard drive is not damaged

You could put the HDD in these devices

What do you mean by that?

It may well be that the plate is broken. A classic HDD is very sensitive to falls.

As long as the HDD is still working, you can simply use something like this:

However, I do not assume that the HDD will still work as it is mechanical and a fall can also cause great damage inside.

What does this have to do with Gsonz's statement?
If the HDD is defective, the best adapter is of no use to you.

You said that the connection of the plate is damaged. Then how do you want to connect the adapter?
