I took the i3 out of my laptop. Is that now also possible for a pc?
There are many PCs in which mobile CPUs are installed (cheaper, less power consumption).
If the CPU fits into your mainboard, then of course.
Well that's the question I can't answer 🤷♂️
But I can't judge that either because I neither know which CPU you have nor which mainboard…
That would have to be an i3 2310M processor (SR84J).

Nothing is decapitated, this is the case with laptop CPUs, the processor die is exposed without a heat spreader. It's called a flip chip. And no, there are no mainboards for desktop PCs where this processor would fit. The processor requires a mainboard with socket G2 or FCPGA988 (flip chip pin grid array with 988 contacts).

You can only use this processor in designated laptops, nowhere else.
I3 2330m
Top answer 👍❤️❤️
However, it is a
i3 2330m
Then the picture says SR04J and not SR84J. Your photo was a bit blurry there. SR04J of course stands for an i3 2330M processor. Therefore only "should" be an i3 2310M and not "is one". In the end, that doesn't change the fact with the base.
Yep exactly
