Is it worth filing a tax return as a trainee?

Due to the amount of my training allowance, I already have to pay wage tax and I also pay wage tax on special payments such as vacation pay.

I don't have a long distance to work (4km) and I don't have high advertising costs, such as buying a laptop or work clothes, because these are provided. So is it worth filing a tax return?

So if your total income is below the basic tax-free allowance, around 9,152 euro a year, you would get your income tax back. You don't even have to enter advertising expenses or etc.
As soon as you are above the basic allowance, I would state my income-related expenses, etc. Everything. If you just hand it over, in the worst case you will get a zero notification, nothing more happens.
