Can my parents format my laptop?

Lately I've been doing homework on my laptop (or is it faster). But sometimes I play games on my laptop instead of doing the tasks. Nevertheless, I mostly / almost always hand in the tasks at the right time (only 1 time I gave it too late, but it wasn't bad for the teachers. My parents therefore want to delete my laptop (or the games). Should they be allowed to do that? "Incidentally, I got my laptop as a gift from you. And my second question: Can I prevent you from deleting my laptop?

But you can download it again. Or you can tell them that you do not want it and will not gamble while you are doing your tasks.

Nope As long as you are not 18 you can do what you want with it. And when your parents tell you to do chores, you do them and don't play games. No matter if you finish in time or not.

you have to load and install your gimmicks on a separate drive / usb-stick and only connect if necessary.

on your plate you create a clearly visible directory of games and copy a bit of rubbish into it.

if now your parents want to delete your games, find the fake directory and delete it and feel terribly authoritarian. Of course you have a copy of it on stick and renew it when the occasion arises.

Fun games, where the names indicate game stuff like solitaire, chess, reversi etc.

As a child you are the parent of your legal guardians… So look at them with big eyes, then they will give you what you want:-)
