Should I disable the internal graphics unit?

My laptop has a Radeon Vega 8 graphics unit and a Radeon RX 560X Series graphics card. I was told that I can deactivate the graphics unit, but I don't know if that won't have any consequences because I'm not very familiar with this kind of thing and I'm more careful.

I don't think there's any benefit to that (if at all) so just leave it as it is.

If only the iGPU is used, you will need to install a driver for the graphics card.

For me it's on hybrid and the built-in graphics card only runs for the usb-c port.

No, the internal one is usually more economical and is used on the desktop. This gives you a longer battery life. The dedicated one is used in high-performance applications. If that doesn't work automatically, you can activate it manually.

How can you change that manually? I just want to gamble with the laptop

This is called dual graphics and is used to extend the battery life of laptops for applications that require a graphics card that is not as powerful, or to provide optimal performance for games. The configuration and usage is described here:

There are also laptops with which nothing can be switched, since the dedicated graphics chip only works via the HDMI / DP interface on an external monitor. As long as this is not connected, the dedicated graphics chip can be deactivated. The IGP then only supplies the internal display.
