I recently bought a new laptop. This has unfortunately no drive and I own some old PC games (GTA San Andreas, etc.) which require little power and would run on the laptop. Only I do not know how to install it on it without a drive. Does anyone have an idea? I thought about bypassing the copy protection (on my brother's computer) and then transferring the games iwie to my laptop. But I do not know how to do that. And the whole games again with Download Key or similar. I do not really want to buy.
Connect external drive!
Ahh yeah, that's right. How expensive are they?
Can you google it!
There are already for 30 EUR. Is DVD burner, so you can then watch DVDs and backup data and burn audio CDs. Well worth it, you only need once for all computers.
You ask how you can fill a shelf well, if you do not insert shelves?
You need a drive. Externally, internally or online. There you can then install the games. I also recommend an external drive, such as a compact hard drive.
For old-fashioned nerds, why does not a laptop have a drive?
I was also shocked recently that laptops are now sold without a drive. I still often burn CDs with music for me etc. And that would not be possible without external there. Thankfully, my laptop has a drive. I used to think only the netbooks did not have them.
DVD burners are heavy and big Also, I only have an external burner, so my laptop would be flatter.
But without a drive means: without a hard disk. That's amazing to me.
I always had a burner in my laptops because I could not work without them.
But wait a minute. I mean the CD drive. A hard drive must indeed be installed, or I understand something wrong here?
The questioner said: "I recently bought a new laptop, unfortunately it has no drive."
A hard drive IS a drive.
