I bought a laptop (Lincplus P1) 5 months ago for 250 euro from Amazon. It has an Intel Celeron N4000 @ 1.1Ghz and the integrated graphics. I used it for Office and played Minecraft Windows 10 edition. For a couple of months. Then everything started to work and start slower and slower. Now it is really impossible to use Skype and watch YouTube. In the past, however, this was not a good thing. Maybe mine. Laptop a virus because I downloaded a couple of modpacks for Minecraft from MCPDL? Maybe I should reset my device? Or are the components now too weak and should I buy a new, expensive and powerful computer?
In the worst case, you can try to reinstall Windows on your laptop or reset it if possible. The components usually don't break so quickly due to high loads…
You can use tools e.g. Try Ccleaner!
An Intel Celeron N4000 is simply too weak to use Minecraft properly with modpacks. Such laptops are designed exclusively for surfing and or for a little office use.
Maybe he really has a virus or if you have an HDD it is overwhelmed with too many things at the same time or your working memory becomes full too quickly. Try to reset it and then only use Office and YouTube, never too many things at the same time
And always close all programs such as Skype completely from the right taskbar so that they do not block the working memory
First try to reset the laptop completely. If it still doesn't work, the best thing to do is get a better PC.
It is probably not junk if you suspect that you could possibly have a virus on it, run a virus protection program over there.
But it won't be really fast because the processor is not the fastest.
If you have an HDD as a hard drive then defragment it as a last option and mirror the hard drive to an external one and set it up again
With every mod it will slow down at least in Minecraft.
In your case, I would reset this device, like at the beginning, and if you continue to surf and office, and want to play the standard Minecraft now and then, without mods, I see no reason to buy a new one.
Which also depresses performance, but is not taken into account by anyone, ---> The HDD is highly fragmented and should be defragmented. Microsoft does Windows itself, but it is only effective if the laptop is running and then only this program is running. This defragmentation can also be initiated manually, depending on the size of the HDD, and fragmentation takes quite a while.
