I'm starting to study this year and I know I'm probably too early to ask, but I would be interested to know what you mean, what is absolutely necessary for it?
So what I should get myself before studying to have everything ready and not only when it starts to run and buy everything thoughtlessly, e.g. A laptop.
I would also be interested in whether you write on a block or a laptop or ipad?
Which subject do you want to study?
It makes a huge difference whether you Study art history or computer science ;-)
Nothing is absolutely necessary.
Paper, pens, a folder or folder may be useful.
Depending on the degree program, you will either receive a script or you can get it. Whether you can get ahead with exercises with a laptop is also evident from the exercises themselves.
You may want to save the money for suggested books. Because they are sometimes very expensive.
My tip: take a look at it first and then decide. Then ask older semesters in your degree program for recommendations.
In general, the course begins with introductory events, when you also notice (you will be told) what material you need. With a laptop, I would still wait until you have a feeling for what you need.
I would generally recommend using the pen / paper method to take notes in class. The learning and understanding effect is greater than when typing on a laptop. In addition, you have greater freedom to switch between text, table, graphic, note, formula, idea, etc.
