Processor upgrade laptop?

I want mine. Laptop processor upgrades from an Intel Core I5 3520m to an I7 3610sqm. I know only with desktop processors because I want to ask if that works with the motherboard.

Th

In principle, that should work, yes.

Notebooks are not created for changing a CPU. The CPU, which you want to block is also a quad core, means: higher TDP, more heat must be dissipated, maybe the motherboard does not create the CPU because of that.

Is it possible to try it if the power supply is sufficiently dimensioned, if it works? 50:50 I would say. A normal i7 would not be a problem, I think, but this Q variant naturally requires more power from the voltage transformers. With good cooling it could work.

You can't say that on a flat rate. The I5 3520m is available in both FCPGA988 and fixed FCBGA

And how to get the laptop is another question. In addition, the power loss is 10 watts higher.

That will not work. The CPU is most likely soldered, otherwise it will be difficult. The i7 generates more heat that needs to be dissipated and also needs more power.
