Which laptop for university (law)?

On the internet I find many pages in which laptops are listed from good to bad. Unfortunately, these pages are very different and sometimes not up to date. Since I really have no idea about technology, I wanted to know which laptop is best suited for studying. By the way, I study law if that's important. In terms of price, gladly over 700 euro but at best under 1000 euro.

Take a look at: https://www.campuspoint.de/lenovocampus-thinkpad-l13-yoga-20r6s00800.html

Is a special offer for pupils and students. Is quite handy and has stylus input, which is very practical for annotating scripts.

As long as Office runs smoothly and it is quiet (library), it doesn't matter.

First of all, I would ask myself whether you really need a laptop.

Na

It actually seems to be very good. Unfortunately only available from mid-May.

Yes, it is completely stupid, I'm flirting with buying one of these, but it would already be needed in mid-April. But in your case there's no hurry, right? The attendance course has no idea when, until then you can also endure with a PC.

Na

Unfortunately I don't have a PC. Just an old laptop that really can't do anything. I'm especially afraid of this home office story. You don't even know when the semester starts (that's my first semester) and I want to be prepared for the case that you study from home (which I really can't imagine for my degree program).

Well, I think for the first few weeks you are adequately supplied with any device that can play a YouTube video (including a livestream from the university if it offers one). Don't worry, you won't have to compile software in law school where a fast processor is important.

You would have to ask yourself a few questions in advance:

Touchscreen - yes / no
Screen size
connections
Performance (processor and possibly graphics card)
