A few months ago I ordered a notebook from media markt. When I picked it up in the store, I got a large package with six devices instead of one. After a few weeks I got the first email asking if I have the excess 5 devices or not, and what I should answer. I received this email three times. However, I didn't respond to any of them. In the middle of February I received the mail das Media Markt which 1995 euro (total of 5 devices) could not be successfully debited from my customer account. Now I'm supposed to transfer the money.
What could you recommend me or does anyone have any advice? What could happen if I don't transfer the money?
Why didn't you return the 5 devices right away? ò.ó
And didn't you pay in the store? Usually you have to pay in advance or pay in cash / by EC card. Or did you make purchase on account?
Didn't you get a receipt stating that it will cost you 2000 euro?
As long as you have the devices, of course you have to pay the money. Otherwise, you have to return the surplus ones, but it is up to them how much they will reimburse you because you also incur high costs.
If you took the devices, you indirectly entered into a purchase contract, because it was clear that they were not intended as a gift.
If you have kept them, you have to pay them too.
I recommend that you respond quickly to the email and send the notebooks back. An error has occurred on the part of the media market, which you can very likely prove.
I'm not a lawyer and I do not know exactly what obligations and rights you have in such a case, but I'm sure that if you do not respond, the matter will end up in court. Then the 2,000 EUR bill will be your least concern, because your behavior is intentional.
Could have been an action
It was probably ordered goods
The employee accidentally gave out the entire commission or a box instead of a device
later it will have been noticed that with the help of security cameras he is up to his neck in the poop
Media Markt
You should have made Media Markt aware of its mistake.
If you do nothing, the Media Markt will forward its request to a debt collection agency. Ignoring this can ultimately lead to garnishment or account seizures.
I would contact the Media Markt immediately and ask how you can return the excess devices.
I can't really believe that the story is right.
Media Markt asks you three times by email (!) Whether you have the devices at all and then debits the alleged claim from your account without a SEPA direct debit mandate?
I know that Media Markt sends corresponding payment reminders by post at the latest with the first reminder.
Regardless of this, you should probably notice when you pick up a laptop and the package is large and clearly too heavy.
If the story is true: what happened to the devices or why didn't you hand them over?
Then that would also be on his bill
