Write programs for the computer?

I really like to write and now I have a new laptop there but unfortunately Word costs a lot. Already tried to download OpenOffice, but my computer deletes it again and again, because it would not be safe etc…

I would love to continue writing but hate it on paper, do you still have some good writing programs?

LibreOffice. Set your antivirus program, the OpenOffice is an exception.

I have never heard that OpenOffice is "unsafe". Will not synonymous with me in a virus scan displayed.

I use LibreOffice, which is a free office package.

Otherwise, you can also use Google Docs if you have a Google Account.

Also WordPad would have to be preinstalled on Windows.

You can use all MS Office programs via the free online apps from MS - in the essential functions. All you need is an online account with MS. Registration via https://office.live.com/....live.com/. There click on "Login". This is followed by the specification of your e-mail address and a password. If you do not have an MS-ID yet, click on the link "No account". Then you create one.
After login, you are in the Start Center. Here you can select the apps. To open a locally saved file you have to go to the "Start Center" on "OneDrive" and upload your file. An open file does not need to be saved, because every change is saved in real time. Further details can be found in chip issue 02/2019 on page 108f.

For a writing program that would be enough - Office Live
