My parents treat me like a toddler. Earlier, I refused a long walk because of sore muscles and I needed to prepare for school tomorrow. My cell phone was then collected for the entire next week. When I mentioned that I urgently needed it for the knowledge and submission of school assignments, I was ignored. Unfortunately, that's not all. Not only is my entire time on the Wi-Fi limited to twice a day from 10-12 and 16-20, I also have 1 1/2 hours of screen time on my mobile phone and the Wi-Fi is just turned off every now and then. Do you think that's fair? I hardly have any time in the morning because my parents do everything possible and can only answer friends or make phone calls in the afternoon, everything else my parents have restricted. I'm not allowed to install anything independently on my smartphone or laptop. There's even a code on our television, which I personally find ridiculous because we're checked around the clock one way or another and would not even come to watch television on our own. I wasn't even allowed to download an app for video streaming for a 12-hour drive abroad. Am I overreacting? I'm almost 16 and a certain amount of control over the online time is correct, but I think it's all going too far overall. I think my father even checks my search history over the wireless router
I think your parents don't notice that you are slowly growing out of your infancy.
Discuss this with a teacher or contact the number against grief.
Many thanks for your response. Unfortunately, I tried to explain this to my parents several times, but then only arguments like "school" and "there used to be no such thing". I only got good grades with and without these restrictions…
It's a shame your parents are like that. As I said, turn to someone.
