How can I see if my laptop is being monitored?

Maybe I'll tell you how to come to the beginning. And indeed, about a year ago my laptop was seized by the police. Today I got it again and now I would like to know if I have any keyloggers or similar on this laptop. In the event announcement I could already notice that my laptop has been used very often. Specifically, I noticed in the Windows logs that the source "WMI" & "VSS" have occurred very often. So I googled, and there I could at least see at WMI that it might have something to do with a remote control of the laptop. So I'm seriously wondering if anyone else has access to this laptop and how I can figure it out. Unfortunately, I'm not really sure about this, but I'm happy to learn something new, and so have been asking you (the pros).

p.s: Have Windows 10 as the operating system, if you need more details, I judge the synonymous still.

You can only really make sure by scrapping the thing and get a new one.

If somebody really wanted to monitor, then you would also have the option of logging on modified hardware, such as software.

Okay, yes with the formatting would be worth considering. On the subject of whether it is legal or not I can only say that the police enforced their sake anyway! Honestly, I felt it so that the laptop has been confiscated from me only in provocation, since the house search was ridiculous 20G cannabis. Anyway, I can see that my laptop has been used regularly over the past year and a number of search terms have been entered. Now it is important for me to find out if such a monitoring is still taking place, and if so, you can still look if legal steps can be taken.

If you want to be sure, delete the windows on the disk (save your data first)

Install a Linux Distri on it and then you have 100% certainty that no one is watching you.

In the link on the page under Downloads -> Documentation -> German you will find everything important

Whether it was legal to confiscate your PC, your lawyer tells you. With 20 grams of cannabis, you've certainly turned one on. In Bavaria you get 16 months for this amount… So much too ridiculous

Man "can" get up in Bavaria…
And just because there's a penalty for it can still be ridiculous

If there was no reasonable suspicion of trafficking, it was ridiculous to use my taxpayer money to confiscate his laptop
