I try to copy my data from the USB stick to my new laptop with win 10. (With the old system it always worked knotless)
I can copy the data from the USB to the laptop, if I want to access the data then I can't open it from the hard drive, following message because - path is not found-
If I plug the stick again, I can open everything if I delete the copied from the hard drive, also the content of the stick is deleted…
For an answer would be very grateful
Many Thanks

Where is the mistake?
In the past, I was able to open the data without a stick without any problems, why not win 10 at win 7?
I ask for help.
Maybe this is the topic "the path itself" or "the signpost".
If you "access", you may only access a shortcut to the stick.
Do it
create on the PC a folder
go with the Explorer on the stick
press Ctrl + a
press Ctrl + c
go back to the prepared folder
press ctrl + v
wait until everything is finished copying
Then you do not simply pull the stick off, but use the icon in the lower right corner "Safely Remove Hardware".
The difference between Windows 7 and Windows 10 is that Windows 7, as the default setting for "drag n drop" (marking and moving data), has the "copy" function running and not, as it is in Windows 10, that you have the linked data only in a different location.
To copy the data correctly (instead of creating links from you, which you obviously do now), you should first mark the data with the mouse, then click with the right mouse button, select copy and press right-click → paste in another place.
You can also move the data with the mouse by holding down the Ctrl key while moving (until you release the mouse button). There's also a small plus here, which should suggest that when moving the data, those data will be copied.
by pressing the Shift key you move the data.
Many Thanks. It worked, I actually had to copy first.
I'm not a PC professional, but the Windows 7 was much better and just because something is new, it does not have to be better.
Luckily there's this portal and great people helping.
