Can the virus be transferred if I drag pictures on a USB stick and open them on another computer?

My laptop has a "virus" or malware that affects the browser. Whenever I search for something there, 4-6 falsified results are displayed in front of the real search results, which only consist of advertising. I also scanned the laptop with Malwarebytes, but according to that, everything is okay.

Well, I have a new computer now and would like to transfer pictures and videos from my old laptop. If I do this via USB stick, is there a big danger that this malware will be transmitted? So through the pictures and videos?

Let the ADW Cleaner and Malwarebytes on the laptop run.

So I would rather not do that because the stick could also have a virus and therefore you should not aufm the new PC transferred images synonymous if it is a pity about the pictures but man does not want that the PC is broken so my tip let it better and get a new stick and sure is safe

Thanks, I will probably do it that way. Were not personal too important pictures and videos.

You should not transfer anything from an infected PC because the malware or the virus always gets onto the new PC.

Therefore, you have to rid your old PC of the malware / virus, so you can transfer your images safely.

Programs and help for it are like sand on the sea.
