The battery of my laptop has not charged for a few days and is slowly but steadily decreasing. Right now it's at 10%.
I usually always use my laptop via the power adapter. Do I even need the defective battery? What happens when it's at 0%?
Does the laptop not start up at all? Is the power supply sufficient to keep the PC running? Battery & laptop are already old, but so far all of this is enough for me.
Can someone tell me whether the laptop can run on the power supply even with 0% battery capacity?
Yes, you can also operate it without a battery, just using the power supply, as we did with our old one
I would just leave the battery in so that you don't have any edges.
The Laprip only works with electricity
Yes, the laptop can also be operated without a battery. At least I'm not yet aware of any contrary case. If the battery is permanently installed, however, it is sometimes tedious to disconnect it.
