I reset my Windows 10 (64 bit) on my laptop (keep recovery with my own files) because it was extremely slow. Unfortunately, it then got stuck at 74% when resetting. Then turned it off and on again. Then it went up and down in an endless loop. Then I went to WinRe, but didn't get any further there either. In repair mode, "could not be repaired" comes up. What can I do?
It's always better to cleanly reinstall Windows 10. It works like this:
Download the Media Creation Tool: https://www.microsoft.com/...ndows10%20 With this you can create a Windows 10 USB boot stick. For this you need an empty formatted stick. The tool also packs all current updates onto the stick.
Boot the created stick and follow the instructions of the wizard. It offers the possibility to delete everything. One should do that. During the installation, the laptop will restart several times.
After the installation is complete, the last restart takes place. Then Windows 10 starts again. You no longer have to activate it because the product key is permanently integrated in the BIOS and is automatically adopted. The activation is fully automatic.
The last step is to go to the manufacturer's website for your laptop. Download and install the drivers there.
The Windows 10 USB stick should be kept well for emergencies.
