What should I do with the additional Wi-Fi router?

I have DSL and Wi-Fi at 1&1 now I have ordered a laptop with a SIM and additional Wi-Fi router. Do I have to use it or can I connect the laptop to my previous Wi-Fi?

The router that you get from 1&1 is already preconfigured. So it would be smart if you used it. In theory, you can continue to use your current router. If there are any configurations, you have to take them over yourself.

Thanks skiddy, if I take the new one, I could only connect the computer to it. Mobile phone and tablet with the old router, right?

You can then no longer use the old router because only one of the two routers can be connected to the DSL cable. Your cell phone / tablet will then be connected to the new router via WLAN.
